My selection of the best releases this week (Feb 2022 Wk 07)
In no particular order other than tempo.
This week was never going to be as good as last week for new releases,
however, there were still plenty around to choose from. Two releases
in particular stood out from the crowd for me. The new single from
LaToya London featuring
Anthony Hamilton "On Everything" and of course the surprise, 'unannounced' single by
Silk Sonic with a cover of Con Funk Shun's "Love's Train" which I've included in this week's selections even though it should
really have been in the covers dozen, which is mainly why I've gone
with the former as SoulStrutter Selection of the Week.
There were plenty of others for consideration, as there were also a lot released on Valentine's Day. So much so that I
really couldn't boil it down to just twelve. So this week is extended
again as I simply couldn't decide which ones to leave out as they're
all of a similar standard. Most are singles as there weren't any
albums of significance released this week.
