Noel Gourdin [2024] - You ( I'm Ready) [The Urban Influencer Music Group]

Boston's (Brockton, MA) Noel Gourdin has a new single "You (I'm Ready)" out via The Urban Influencer Music Group which follows his "Getcha" single last April.

Gourdin debuted in 2004 with "Family Reunion" from the soundtrack for the 2004 film The Cookout. His debut album "After My Time" in 2008 produced his first hit single "The River" which sampled Millie Jackson's "How Do You Feel The Morning After" (from "Millie" 1974).

Aaron Stephens [2024] - Heart Beatin' [Self Released]

Chicago born, McAllen, TX, raised, Aaron Stephens has been releasing his music since 2012  with three albums, four EPs and around fifteen singes to his name. 

His latest single, "Heart Beatin'", is out today and is paired with another song, "Timber". The most immediate is "Heart Beatin'" but after a couple of listens "Timber" began to resonate.

He writes his own songs, sings and plays guitar.

Kärma Sounds [2024] - Cake And Eat It [Self Released]

Kärma Sounds is the musical alter ego for Montreal's Karina Morin now based in Vancouver. She debuted only last Sep. with "Let’s Stay Home Tonight" and her new single "Cake And Eat It" is now her seventh single since then. One is a remix of her first single and four are different mixes of her second single, so only really four songs.

The new song has a nice contemporary stepper's vibe.

We would guess that the music video is a nod to the French phrase supposedly said by Marie Antoinette "Let them eat cake' during the famine in the 17th century?

Andre Cruz & Chris Lujan [2023] - HEART FULL OF LOVE [Industry Music Group] (Full Album)

Since their last appearance on these pages with their debut album "The Real Thing" (Feb '22), Andre Cruz & Chris Lujan have signed to Industry Music Group and release their second album "HEART FULL OF LOVE". 

As you may expect from the label, it's retro sweet soul in the lowrider style and consists of all cover versions. 

The most obvious are Freddie Hughes' "Send My Baby Back", Brenton Wood "I Like The Way You Love Me" and Al Green's "What A Wonderful Thing Love Is" (flip to "Call Me"), 

The less obvious, perhaps, The Invincibles "Heart Full Of Love", Bob & Gene "It's Not What You Know (It's Who You Know)", The Deceptions "Of All The Hearts", a more recent song "Can I Call You Rose" by  Thee Sinseers and an alternative take on the Doris Day song ("Que Sera Sera").

The remaining two tracks are more recent recordings: "Feels Like Summer" by Childish Gambino and "Make It Wit Chu" from Queens of the Stone Age, which are perhaps the most surprising choices?

Pip Millett [2024] - Tell Jimmy [Believe UK] (Full EP)

At the end of January Pip Millett released the first single ("Eating Out" feat. Rae Khalil), from a five track EP "Tell Jimmy" which has been released today. 

Another track from it, "Fight You", was released as a single yesterday. As well as Rae Khalil, there is another guest appearance from London's Maverick Sabre (aka Michael Stafford) on "Miss You".

Millett's last recording was guesting on Gotts Street Park's excellent "Got To Be Good" in Jun '23 which, in turn, was her first recording since her debut album "When Everything Is Better, I'll Let You Know" in Oct 2022.

Georgia Pip Willacy was born in Greater Manchester (Stockport) and studied music in London releasing her debut single "Make Me Cry" in 2018. She performed it on Colors Show in 2019 which won her an audience and the song has now been streamed almost 32.5m times on Spotify alone, with the Colors Show performance version approaching 5m.
