Stokes & Machine [2023] - Freeway (Soul-Jazz Mix) [Self Released] OUT TODAY

The latest single from Atlanta based writing and production team Stokes & Machine is "Freeway" which was posted from promo last week is released today with three mixes "Soul Jazz Mix", "Urban Electric Mix" and "Pop Country Mix".

They have worked with artists ranging from Glenn Jones, Regina Belle, India Arie, Anthony David, Lalah Hathaway to hip-hop acts Arrested Development, OutKast, Organized Noize, Dr. Dre.

They have an album forthcoming which features Anthony David, Algebra, Lin Rountree and  others.

Cleveland P. Jones began his career appearing and performing the The Fighting Temptations movie. He recently fronted Arrested /Developments latest single.

Spring The Artist [2023] - People Please / She Knows [Self Released]

Spring The Artist  has released two singles this month and her fourth this year, the latest "People Please" on 13th and "She Knows" on the 8th.

You may recognise "She Knows" as it uses the same library backing as used on Aisyla Ariatt's "Patience" in Feb '23 and possibly used on other songs. So if you like this one you'll also probably like  "Patience" or vice versa.

So who is Spring The Artist? She is Spring Alexandria Birts a case worker from Austin, TX, who took a leap of faith exactly a year ago on 20 May 2020 releasing her first single "Sunday". It's success gave her the encouragement to continue and now has her eighth single released.

Another single from her well worth checking out is "That's Why" from Dec '22

Her profile states "If Minnie Riperton and India.Arie had a baby, you just received your invitation to the shower".

The Soul Review is an new group based in Lincoln, NE, comprising Haylee Bice, Jadyn Keller, Robert Leslie Jr. and Ether Saure who have their own unique sound.

Y A N A & Gena [2023] - Under My Skin [Stereofox] (Full Album)

Y A N A (Yana Yancheva) is an emerging artist from Sofia (Bulgaria) who surfaced in 2021. She has worked with Bulgarian artist Leena as well as producers TromBobby and Gena (Evgeny Enchev) who she collaborated with on her last single "Bliss" released two weeks ago which was already her fifth single of 2023

Not surprisingly then, hot on the heels of the last single is her sophomore album "Under My Skin" in collaboration with Gena. Four of the nine tracks are her last four single "Bliss" (May),  "Cherry On Top" (Apr), "Domino" (Apr) and "Fast Lane" (Mar).

It's solid set of neo soul tunes and it's hard to select the 'best' tracks, so we won't and let you decide for yourself, but you could choose from virtually any of them.
