This page is intended to provide assistance in searching the blog.

Search Facilities

There are seven search facilities, six with drop down lists (under main menu see below) from where you can select the criteria you wish to search on:

Search This Blog

On the right hand side column and at top left of page is a freeform search, just enter the phrase you wish to search for.

Menu Bar

Home

Opens the home/landing page which is the latest post.

Albums

Lists all Albums posted in chronological order (latest post first).

EPs

Lists all EPs posted in chronological order (latest post first).

Playlist

Lists all Playlists posted in chronological order (latest post first). These are generally ad-hoc Spotify playlists.

Mixes

Lists all Mixes posted in chronological order(latest post first). These are generally Mixcloud mixes of each week's "The Dirty Dozen", however there are additional ad-hoc mixes.

SoulStrutter Selections of Week

Lists all "SoulStrutter Selections of the Week" posted in chronological order.

UK Soul Chart

Lists all UK Soul Chart posts in chronological order.

SoulStrutter Top 30

Lists all "SoulStrutter Top 30" posts in descending date order.

About Us

Provides information about SoulStrutter.

Contact

Displays contact details such as email address, and channels for YouTube, Spotify, Mixcloud and BandCamp.

Displays help on how to search the SoulStrutter blog.

Drop Down Lists

Select Label

Select a post by a listed label i.e. artist, year, genre etc.

This drop down facility lists all the labels/tags that have been applied to posts. Each post is generally assigned: year, decade, artist name, genre, rating. These are listed alphabetically.

Select Rating

Select post by SoulStrutter rating.

Since July 2021 all posts have been assigned a rating out of 10. Within each band from 1-10 they are further refined in tenths i.e. 8.1, 8.6 etc. to proved extra granularity.

Select Year

Select posts by year of release.

This drop down facility lists all the labels/tags that have been applied to posts. Each post is generally assigned: year, decade, artist name, genre, rating. These are listed alphabetically.

Artist Profiles

Select an artists for which a profile has been posted.

Dirty Dozen

Select a "The Dirty Dozen" mix by week number.
