Emotional Oranges [2022] - The Juice: Vol. III [Avant Garden] (Full Album)

Emotional Oranges is a male/female duo from L.A. formed in 2017 by two artists who wish to remain anonymous and are simply known as "A" (an audio engineer for Drake) and "V" ( a vocal coach for Adele) who say they met at a bat mitzvah in 2017.

They released "The Juice Vol. 1" and Vol. 2 in 2019. The third volume arrived on Friday (9 Dec 2022).  This one is a bit too urban for my taste, but my choice cut would be "Petty".

They have a 23 date North American tour, The Pulp Fiction Tour, scheduled for 2023.

Shaolinn [2022] - Cherish [Heir Wave Music Group]

Shaolinn Yvette Uzzle is a new artist from Virginia Beach, VA, who debuted in Feb 2020 with her first single and followed it soon after with her first project, a four track EP "Orangized Mixed Emotions" in Apr 2020.

Her fifth single this year, "Cherish", was released today (9 Dec 2022).

Lucky Daye [2022] - Candydrip (Deluxe) [RCA] Full Album)

Lucky Daye (aka David Debrandon Brown) is from New Orleans and reached the top 20 in the fourth season of America's Got Talent in 2005 aged 19.

He released his debut EP titled "/" in 2018 and followed it with "//" in early 2019 and has won a Grammy for Best Progressive R&B Album in 2022 for his last album "Table for Two" released in Feb 2021.

His latest album, "Candydrip" released in Mar 2022, has been reissued as a Deluxe edition on 9 Dec '22 with an additional four tracks, the best of those being "Magic".

His only other appearance on the blog, as his sound is generally more R&B, was with a cover of Marvin's "Mercy Mercy Me (The Ecology)" which was a Spotify exclusive in May 2021.

Rob Milton & WAYV WILSON [2022] - Waste Your Time / Light [Self Released]

Atlanta's Rob Milton has been quite prolific since emerging in 2013 having already released seven albums, nine EPs and umpteen singles. He last featured here with a five track EP "Showtime" (25 Feb 2022) which was a nod to the 70s/80s. He wrote all the songs with Dana Johnson. Since then he released a single "Showtime II" in Jul and now a double single with WAYV WILSON "Waste Your Time" / "Light"

Kamaria Sarai [2022] - On Purpose [Guaranteed Hitz] (Full Album)

Kamaria Sarai is a new artist from New York who, before her debut album/EP "On Purpose"  released on 7 Dec, appears to have only released one single "Vibing", featuring D.V. Alias Khryst on rap, in Aug 2021 which is included on the album.

Apart from the single, the best track is "Cherry Ride", featuring Frank Knight on rap, which sounds like it has a vintage 60s sample (Charmels?) as the intro.
