Co Co Jones (Keri Jones) is from Fernandina Beach, FL, now based in Atlanta, GA, (not to be confused
with
CoCo Jones
from Columbia , SC). She seems to have emerged in 2006 with an album, "SuperSoulSista", and released a single in 2016 but nothing since until 2022 with four more singles.
Today she has released her second album "Love, Jones". It's predominantly an R&B affair but two tracks may be of interest to soulies, "These Things" and "I Rise" and perhaps "Coffee", which sound like it uses parts of The Isley's "Summer Breeze", but it's not really my cup of tea (or coffee for that matter) as it doesn't really go anywhere, just meanders along and then ends like so many R&B tunes to these ears .. and then of course there's a rap to give it urban appeal and have purists running for cover!
