Rob Hardt & Ferry Ultra Feat. Sharon Phillips [2021] - If Walls Could Speak [Peppermint Jam Records #PF250]

I've heard this played a few times over the last few days and it is superb. I've since discovered that it is from a forthcoming EP "Peppermint Funk Jams" by Peppermint Jam Records owned by Mousse T (Mustafa Gundogdu) the man behind the 1998 hit "Horny". The six track EP is due for release on 2 Jul 2021.

It's a modern soul tune with a funky edge with the vocals of Sharon Phillips from Tobago.

I managed to track down samples of the EP on SoundCloud. There's also an interesting Rob Hardt reworking of Marvin Gaye's "Sexual Healing".

Paula Renee' [2021] - Just Being Myself [Self Released] (Full Album)

What looks to be her third album since 2017, Paula Renee'  released her new album "Just Being Myself" yesterday (4 Jun2021).

The standout track for me is "You And Me" but there are several other good tracks such as "If" and "It Is What It Is" (which is very reminiscent of Chante Moore's "Love's Taken Over").

Isabelle Eberdean [2021] - Falling In Love [Monsters Records]

Yet more Scandinavian soul, this time from a new artist Isabelle Eberdean who is from Trondheim, in the north of Norway. This is her third single this year, debuting in Feb with "Focus On You" and followed by "Inner Thoughts" in Apr,  She will be releasing an EP "Internal Monologue" later this month. With each single being progressively better than the last, It will be interesting to hear what the EP is like.

It only seems to be available via Apple as I can't find it on any other platforms (yet?) and, whilst it is listed on Spotify, it is not active yet.

From the same label that gave us Shante a few months ago with a cover of Amy Winhouse/Mark Ronson's "Valerie" is a very pleasant tune from Tessie.

Fabich Feat. Dana Williams [2021] - Get Away [Unity Rec]

Fabich is a DJ/producer from Munich now based in London, although his Soundcloud page states London & Lisbon. He released his debut single "Hold On" in 2017, although there are a few on Spotify from 2016 (perhaps not officially released?) and a total of 49 singles in less than five years! I notice that the last five are all sequentially numbers in top left corner, so is he building up to release them on an album?

Dana Williams is a jazz singer from L.A. who released her debut EP "The Lonely One" in 2013. The opening track "Keep Me Waiting" was featured in the Oscar-winning movie Whiplash (the only vocal track in the movie).
