Rob Milton [2022] - Showtime [Self Released] (Full EP)

Atlanta's Rob Milton has been quite prolific since emerging in 2013 having already released seven albums, nine EPs and umpteen singles. He has a new five track EP out called "Showtime" (25 Feb 2022) which is a nod to the 70s/80s. He wrote all the songs with Dana Johnson. The easy standout for me being "Rollercoaster".

Ellison Kendrick [2022] - Got It Going On / The Only One [Nosille Muzic Group / HMIA GLOBAL]

Ellison Kendrick released two singles on 14 Feb, "Dumb" featuring Jay Onlē (which is not suitable to post here as it's R&B with rap) and the other "Got It Going" which samples Barry White's 1977 UK Top 40 and US #1 R&B hit "It's Ecstasy When You Lay Down Next To Me". 

Another single he released on 12 Nov 2021 is being re-promoted at the same time "The Only One".

Ellison is from Miami and has a gospel background.  After being lead singer with a group who released an album and had #21 R&B hit single, he was signed to Betty Wright's Mr.s B label and backed her on tour and on albums such as "4U2NJOY" along with with Gwen Dickey (Rose Royce) and Betty's sister Jeanette (aka Jeanette Williams on Back Beat).

He did the same for Joss Stone from her "Mind Body & Soul" album in 2004 to her last album  (until her new album a few weeks ago) in 2015 "Water For Your Soul".

His talents don't stop there, as he is also an actor and has appeared in a  couple of movies ("Prejudge Us" and "Bad Boys For Life" starring Will Smith (2020))  and a TV mini-series "Backlash" (2018).

Jha'mai [2022] - brown suga. [Self Released]

Jha'mai (Antonia Jha'mai Milindez) from Greensboro, North Carolina, is a new name to me, which is surprising since she's released four albums and an EP since 2019, and her sixteenth single "brown suga.". is released today (3 Mar 2022).

It's one of those wispy, ethereal, lo-fi, neo soul numbers.

Eamon [2022] - Won't Stop Now (No Matter The Season) [Now Again] (Full Album)

Eamon (Doyle) had a worldwide #1 hit with his debut single "Fuck It (I Don't Want You Back)" in 2003. He took a hiatus in 2007 and returned in 2017. His latest single "Won't Stop Now" has a retro feel and was released 21 Feb 2022. As you can probably guess from the sleeve title it's from a forthcoming album "No Matter The Season" which I think is due out on DSPs tomorrow (4 Mar), but has been available on Bandcamp since 26 Feb 2022.

All but two of the album tracks are based on samples taken from the Now-Again back catalogue. The rating given below is for the single, as personally, I could take or leave many of the album tracks as quite a few are based on African/funk rhythms bordering on rock in some instances, but as I've posted the single I thought I'd also add the album for your consideration.

Tonya Nicole Feat. Manny Houston [2022] - You Got Me (Radio Edit) [Self Released]

Tonya Nicole is a new artist from South Carolina who debuted on 12 Feb 2021 with "Limbo". She released an acoustic version in April and her next single, "Cotton Candy", followed in August.

Her latest single "You Got Me" is due on 11 Mar 2022.
