Leela James is not 'letting us off the hook' after the recent success of her album "See Me" as today (8 Oct 2021) she has released a remix of the first single "Complicated" from the album released back in Feb which features Anthony Hamilton.

Derrick Sena & Senco Feat. Roxiie Reese [2021] - Invisible Tears [Unreleased]

Derrick Sena is a up and coming producer from the Bay Area who I first came across back in May when he released "I Can't Help It" (also included below) which I featured as a SoulStrutter Selection of the Week.  Derrick subsequently got in touch and regularly sends new material to preview. Another release was "Show Me Love" along with an instrumental version of I Can't Help It titled "Triple Shot" which has some great 'Tower Of Power' like horns added. His latest is another song which features the incredible vocal talents of one Ms Roxiie Reese from New York.  

"Invisible Tears" was given its first airing on SoulSorts last week as one the my three choices.  It's not yet available to purchase as Derrick is still putting the finishing touches to the final mix but watch out for it in the forthcoming weeks.

I've added a video clip of Roxiie Reese performing a cover of Cardi B & Bruno Mars "Please Me" from her YouTube channel as another example of her vocal ability.

UPDATE: The song was sent to Franklin Sinclair at Global Soul radio who programmed it into his weekly show The New Music Hour last night (8 Oct 2021), so thanks to Franklin from all involved.

MarZz & JO [2021] - When I See [Self Released]

MarZz (aka Laria McCormick) is an up and coming singer/songwriter from Louisville, KY. She last appeared on the blog in May with her single "Countless Times". In the interim she released a six track EP "Love Letterz" in June which included "Countless Times" but the remainder of the EP was a tad too much on the R&B 'dark' side to post.

On her latest single "When I See" (released today (8 Oct 2021)) she collaborates with a singer called JO (one of the song's writers is Josiah Fisher so perhaps that's JO?) who doesn't appear to have released anything else. It's on the more soulful side of R&B and I quite like it.
