VAN [2022] - Autumn Boon [Self Released] (Full EP)

Last week we posted the latest album by Candy Dulfer, "We Never Stop", which is surprisingly good as I was expecting it to be instrumental smooth jazz. The lead singer on many of the tracks is one Ivan Peroti who is also Dutch and was in The Voice of Holland in 2015. By chance I came across this four track EP "Autumn Boon" by VAN, released on Friday (4 Nov), who is none other than Peroti who wrote all the songs.

He was member of a boy band Sat-R-Day from 1996 whose first single in 1998 was a cover of Peoples Choice "Do It Any Way You Wanna" (1975). He was with a couple of other groups including 2 Elements, Food For Funk and Sven Hammond Soul before becoming a member of Candy Dulfer's band in 2018.

Ivan is/was also a member of Liquid Spirits who featured here a few times last year with a couple of singles and their album "Years". He joined the duo Manuel Hugas and Wiboud Burkens after meeting Hugas who was also the bass player in Candy Dulfer's band.

Brendalynn [2022] - Don't Lead Me [Self Released]

Brendalynn (McKinney) from Houston, TX, featured on one of the tracks of the year "Waiting For Your Love" on Raheem DeVaughn's "From Lust Till Dawn" album in May '22. 

She released a solo single "Don't Lead Me" yesterday (6 Nov) which isn't yet available on Spotify (but is available to buy on the main DSPs) but she did a live performance of it in August included below.

It is her second solo single following "DM" from May 2021 and a debut album "Her Heart" in Aug 2017.

Adi Oasis Feat. KIRBY [2022] - Adonis (Clean) [Unity Records] PROMO

After performing in other bands for years, Adi Oasis went solo in 2018 as Adeline, releasing an album alongside two EPs and collaborating with the likes of Masego, Blue Lab Beats, The Shapeshifters and others and writing and producing under the moniker Nightshade with her partner Morgan Wiley .

She goes from strength to strength with her last single, "Get It, Got It", being arguably her best. Not resting on her laurels having released that only on 16 Oct, hot on its heels comes a new single featuring KIRBY, another artist with a popular current single "Take Care" (13 Oct), on a song written together called "Adonis" which is due on 16 Nov 2022.

Kirby is also known for her writing being behind the global chart topper "FourFiveSeconds" by Rhianna, Kanye West and even Paul Mcartney. 

The new single holds a retro-futuristic sound filled with trumpets, jazz rhythms and smooth harmonies from the two singers with its own unique style.
