Portrait [2020] - Afro Trees [Soul Japan #SJR005]

L.A. group Portrait debuted in 1992 with the single 'Here We Go Again'. This is their fifth album since their debut self-titled album in 1992.

Although this was officially released Jan 2020, it has only just become available digitally on 27 Feb 2021, and perhaps due to COVID vinyl releases were delayed?

The top tracks, for me, are: 'Love Song', 'Cum Over', 'Closer' and 'Clear', but it's a consistent album throughout.

'Love Song', samples Kool & The Gang's 'Summer Madness' (which was released as flip to 'Get Down On It' in 1981) also sampled by DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince (an alias used by actor Will Smith) on 'Summertime' in 1991.

Kings Of Tomorrow & April Morgan [2021] - Never Knew [deepvisionz #DVR051]

Due out on 12 Mar 2021 from Kings Of Tomorrow (aka Sandy Rivera) & April Morgan (who I believe is his daughter), another souful house tune called 'Never Knew.

He's got another track due out on 19 Mar 2021 'I Am The One' which is a house mix of Michael Jackson's 'Billie Jean'.

New single (released 5 Mar 2021) from Yass & DJ Fudge featuring Leslie O'Smith on lead vocals on a song written by Norman Whitfield, Edward Holland, Jr. & Cornelius Grant and recorded by several Motown artists in the 70s including The Temptations, Commodores, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Jackson 5,  Unidsputed Truth and Rare Earth. Max Ribner [2021] - The ?'s [1st Language Music] (Full Album)

I posted a 'teaser' for this back in mid Feb with a video for 'Not Free' as the album wasn't due for release until 4 Mar 2021. 

Well, here's a link to the full album '1st Language' from the jazz horn player from Portland, Oregon, also the home of Jarrod Lawson (I wonder if they have collborated on anything?).  I believe that this is his third album since froming a band in 2009.
