Maya Amolo [2022] - Asali [Self Released] (Full Album)

With five singles and an EP ("Leave Me At The Pregame" (Jul 2020)) under her belt since debuting in 2020, Nairobi's Maya Amolo released her debut album "Asali" today (4 Nov '22).

It contains her single "Foundry" featuring kalbwani from Jul and the one before that "Can't Get Enough" from Mar but surprisingly not her latest "Bend It" (26 Oct).

I think the choice cuts are the two singles mentioned above along with the title track "Asali" and "Fuego".

Bluesforthehorn [2022] - Painful Love [Ferocious Label Services] (Full EP)

Bluesforthehorn is a British-Somali singer and songwriter Deeqa Shire from East London who debuted with a six track EP "Finna Touch 'a' Beach" in Mar 2018. Following five singles since her EP she has today released her sophomore EP "Painful Love" which includes two of her last three singles "Just Say" (May '22) and "Hold Your Pace" (Oct '20) which are the standout tracks along with "Rainbow".

Kenyon Dixon [2022] - Closer (Deluxe) [Self Released] (Full Album)

Today, Kenyon Dixon has released a deluxe edition of his "Closer" album from May. It has four additional tracks including an extended version of his recent single "Getting Late".  In addition it has an extended version of "Expectations (Interlude)". All the new tracks are pretty good mellow songs an I can't really choose between them. 

In this day and age I don't suppose it really matters but I would have thought it would have been better releasing the four new tracks as an EP but I guess it remarkets the album one more time, which, if I recall correctly was a soul chart topper in the UK?

Out today (4 Nov 2022) is the debut album from Coco Jones "What I Didn't Tell You". It includes her last two singles "ICU" (Oct '22) and "Caliber" (Mar '22).

Courtney 'Coco' Jones is a 24 year old singer, songwriter, actress born in Columbia, SC, but raised near Nashville, who debuted in 2012 rising to prominence starring in the Disney film "Let It Shine". She has just signed to Def Jam.

THEHONESTGUY [2022] - How To Make Love [Self Released] (Full EP)

THEHONESTGUY is Mubarak Adeyemi from Toronto who released a debut six track EP "Love Songs For No One" in Feb 2021. He has already pre-released the first three tracks on his new six track EP "How To Make Love" (released today 4 Nov 2022)  as singles: "Lost to the Summer" (Jun '21) and "Choosy Lover" (Oct '21) and bundled them with "Fight The Feeling".as a three track mini EP  "A Rose By Any Other Name", on 21 Jun '22. Two of the other tracks were also released as singles "Can't Wait" (Jan '22) and "Baby Brother" (Apr '22) leaving just "My Pleasure" as a  new song but it is probably the highlight of the EP for me along with "Fight The Feeling"!
