Leela James [2021] - Put It On Me (See Me LP) [BMG]

Leela James (Aleicha Janeice Campbell) released "Complicated" in Feb. and now pre-releases the second single titled '"Put It On Me" from her upcoming seventh album "See Me" due on 30 Jul 2021. It's 'real' soul music, no gimmicks, no auto-tune, no vocoder, no rapping, no sampling or any other malarkey just fine soul music as it should be.

KuchiCola [2021] - Clown's Tears [Self Released]

This has been out over three weeks (released 28 May 2021) and I keep returning to it as I wasn't sure but I think there are a few good tracks on it. It's right on the edge of neo soul/R&B.

KuchiCola (aka Nicola Charmaine Granger) is a Zimbabwean/British singer from Johannesburg, South Africa and this will be her third album since 2019. She's also released a four track EP, but oddly, no singles.

The best tracks, for me, are "Wanna Be", "You" and "Follow"

Reading through her facebook it appears that her father was a well known South African motivational speaker Dr Alex Granger who died on 10 Jun. So I send my deepest condolences to her and the family at this very difficult time.

Indigo Marshall [2021] - Questions [Paradise Studios]

This track has been out almost two weeks (released 2 Jun 2021), and was a Global Soul Breaker on 29 May prior to release. She has just released a promotional video for it in the last 24 hours.

Indigo Marshall is from Birmingham (UK) and has been supported heavily by BBC Introducing and 1Xtra. "Questions" is her fifth single since her debut in 2019 "Emotional". She is currently working on her first EP.
