The hot new single from The Groove Association featuring, of course, the one and only Georgie B. The  single is available in two mixes direct from Georgie's website GeorgieBMusic ONLY.

The mix here is the main mix but from the website you can also purchase the "Smooth Mix" where he mellows it down into, perhaps, an even more soulful interpretation. Either way you prefer it, they are both going to burn up the airwaves.

The single is from his forthcoming 6th album due in Feb 2023 and follows his two recent chart toppers "Best Believe It" and "Living The Good Life".

Alexis Evans [2022] - Do Something [Record Kicks #RKDIGI106]

The second single from Anglo-French blue-eyed soul man Alexis Evans' forthcoming album "Truly Yours", which is due on 3 Feb 2022, is "Do Something" is out today. The first single was "Mister Right On Time" released last month (11 Nov) which, for me, has a bit of a Hall & Oates feel about it.

You may recall his storming, neo Northern Soul, debut single "I Made A Deal With Yourself" from Jan 2019 (if not it's included below).

"Truly Yours" will be the third album for the Bordeaux based artist following "Girl Bait" (2016) and "I've Come A Long Way" (2019) which was awarded 'Soul album of The Year' by Rolling Stone France.

The forthcoming album consists of twelve tracks mixing classic 60's & 70's soul music with more contemporary influences such as hip hop beats, jazz, reggae, and Caribbean sounds.

Evans inherited his love of music and learnt to play guitar from his musician father and draws inspiration from the likes Marvin Gaye and Sam Cooke to David Bowie. He was a member of Jumpin' to the Westside aged 17 who released an album "No Kidding" in 2011 and were awarded the "Cognac Blues Passion" prize which earned them an appearance at the "International Blues Challenge" in Memphis, TN.

Shira Elias [2022] - SERVICES the EP [Goods & Services Musick] (Full EP)

Shira Elias was a member of nine-piece Brooklyn based funk group Turkuaz formed in 2008 born out of graduates of Berklee College of Music.  Her sophomore EP "SERVICES" (released 2 Nov '22) follows the first, "GOODS", from May 2020 (Goods and Services.. get it?) along with a handful of singles.

Shira was born in Vancouver, Canada, moving to NYC to pursue her musical ambitions. She joined Turkuaz in 2014 and recorded six albums with them, leaving in 2021 to commence a solo career after already having released some solo material.

Two of the six tracks have already been released as singles, the funky "HOOK'D" (20 Oct) and a ballad "EARTH SUN" (10 Nov). The two tracks that stood out, for me, are "TOXIC" and "PERFECTLY ABLE". The other tracks are  "ILSD" featuring Swatkins and "OK".

Chelsea Nichole Feat. Jeff Lorber [2022] - Wait for Me [Progress Entertainment]

A new single "Wait for Me" from Chelsea Nichole featuring her song writing partner for many years,  jazz fusion keyboardist Jeff Lorber. They met when she appeared on his 1998 album "Midnight".

She featured here in Jun '22 with her sophomore album "Through A Woman's Eyes".

Soul Goodman & Waldeck Feat. Patrizia Ferrara [2022] - The Moon Above [Dope Noir Records]

Soul Goodman is a bit of mystery that even the label Dope Noir Records won't spill the beans on! There is a Detroit DJ with the name but I'm not sure it is him featuring here, although there is a likeness to the cover image on the single "Je t'aime beaucoup - Soul Goodman Remix"  and as it is a remix it may well be one and the same. Mystery solved?

He's teamed up with Vienna producer, and owner of Dope Noir Records, Klaus Waldeck and vocalist Patrizia Ferrara for his latest release "The Moon Above" released last Friday (25 Nov '22).
