Nefer [2023] - Welcome to my Spaceshift [Overjazzed Records] (Full Album)

Nefer is a Melbourne based singer originally from from Vaureal (Paris) who grew up in a French- Haitian environment. 

She attended the Conservatory Of Music, Dance And Theater of Cergy-Pontoise where she received a classical training. 

Her debut release is an album, "Welcome to my Spaceshift" out today which seems to use samples on a number of tracks. The most obvious being Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes' "Wake Up Everybody" on "Ludes" but I seem to recognise something from the next track "Forever Friends" which isn't coming to me. (UPDATE: Leigh 'The Flava' Taylor has put me out of my misery as "Forever Friends" samples Eddie Kendricks' "Intimate Friends")

Given that the name Jessica GUIRAND appears on credits for all songs would guess that is her real name.

Lauren Elysse [2023] - They Call Me LO [Self Released] (Full Album)

This looks like only the third release from Lauren Elysse after two singles last year. Her debut album "They Call Me LO" is out today and doesn't include the two previous singles.

One for the neo/future soul lovers with "Lovers Land", "TYD" and "Lets' Play" probably being the key tracks but needs a few more listens.

Shann Aberdeen [2023] - Prayers 4 You [Self Released]

Shann Aberdeen, is a relatively new artist from Toronto who featured here with her last single "Transition" in Nov '22 which included a live video of an, as yet, unreleased song "Home".

Her new single "Prayers 4 You" is out today and contains a backing/sample we first came across on W3sst's "Midnite" on his album "Runnin'" in April 2021 and has featured on at least another couple of tracks since, such as Sean Kenneally "No Need" a year later in April '22 which no longer seems to be available.
