Thee Sacred Souls [2023] - Running Away / Love Comes Easy [Penrose #PRS 1020]

Yet more vinyl arrives. Hot on the heels of their recent European tour, Dapton's Penrose imprint release the latest single, "Running Away" (released digitally last month), by Thee Sacred Souls along with a track from their debut, self-titled album (Aug '22) "Love Comes Easy" on 7" vinyl today (2 May '23).

The lead side is a slight departure from their normal laid back, sweet soul, lowriders with an uptempo tune which may appeal the the Northern Soul crew, with the flip more akin to their normal, well-loved, fare, which has a crossover soul feel. Two great sides now available on 7" vinyl.

Thee Sacred Souls [2023] - Running Away [Daptone Records]

Thee Sacred Souls are back with new material, their second single since the release of their debut album in Aug '22. This time they take the tempo right up and away from their more typical sweet soul ballads with a song titled "Running Away".

They last appeared here on 1 Mar '23 with a live EP "Thee Sacred Souls on Audiotree Live"  along with the corresponding video. Another live set is posted below from Aug '22 ahead of the released of their debut self-titled album recorded at Bandcamp HQ.
