Chelly K [2021] - I Don’t Know Where You Go [Self Released]

The follow up to 'Yesterday Is Gone' released at the end of last year which featured in the second Dirty Dozen of 2021.

She obviously likes this title as there are another two she recorded in 2007 and 2009 with the same title (although the 2007 one is titled 'I Don’t Know Where You Go When You Leave My Door') but they are the same song, the latest one is a different song.

Chelly K is vice president and presenter on jazz radio station WJZZ in Detroit. Her father is Joseph Norris who was an engineer at Motown. He also wrote a couple of songs, mainly for gospel group The Burnadettes in 1962, most of which were never released at the time but have surfaced on the 'Motown Unreleased' series of CDs.

Rmm3 Feat. Zac Tayor [2021] - Passion To Profession [Self Released]

From a new hip-hop album 'Smooth Motivation 2' released 31 Mar 2021. Not for the purist (but it is only Monday and there are not many new releases to choose from!) as this is a essentially rap song but has a nice underlying melody and vocals from Zac Taylor. I'd like to hear a version without the rap. The rest of the album is similar, basically beats overlayed with what I term as rhythmic rap rather than 'ranting' rap.

His real name is Reggie 'Sova Unknown' McKeiver aka Reggie Sova / Mr. Motivation from Virginia and he appears to be a professional gamer as well. He released his debut 'Smooth Motivation' in Jan 2016,

From what I can gather Zac Taylor is a white gospel singer.

Greg Blackman [2021] - Stormy (Wallace + Morris 'North Street West' Vocal Remix) [Ramrock]

At the end of March I posted a new single/EP from Greg Blackman which was a cover of Level 42's 'Lessons In Love'. At the time the flip side 'Stormy Wallace + Morris 'North Street West' Vocal Remix' wasn't available. I was reminded of it by the last post by The Explorers Club who also covered it.

The Explorers Club Feat. Lannie Counts [2021] - Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy [Goldstar]

The Explorers Club was formed in 2005 by Jason Brewer in Charleston SC. They are a blue-eyed soul band catering, I guess, for the Carolinas beach scene who seem to cover classic 60s hits. They have just released a new single on 9 Apr 2021.

It seems a bit of an odd choice for a new single, but hey, The Tams 1968 original is a classic. It was reissued in UK in 1970 and reached #32 and then again in 1971 on the B side to their unexpected #1 hit of a reissue of their 1964 tune 'Hey Girl Don't Bother Me' owing to demand from UK Northern soul scene. Probably regarded as 'youth club NS' these days, but when we were young and all first getting into NS it was a classic.

They have also done a version of Dennis Yost & The Classic IV's 'Stormy' which was a big tune on NS scene by The Supremes about 20 years ago when a previously unreleased  1969 recording by them appeared on 'The Never Before Released Masters' CD in 1987.  It has been covered dozens of times by many artists including O.C. Smith and Billy Eckstine.

The track features Lannie Counts who I posted a new single from in Feb.
