Raheem DeVaughan is a busy boy! Having just released a new, 70s retro, video for a track from his
last album released Nov 2020 ('Marvin Used To Say'), and riding high on UK Soul chart with his collaboration with Reel People on 'Deja Vu', he is now working on a new album with
Apollo Brown, 'Lovesick', due for release 4 Jun 2021. As a teaser, a single
from it, 'When A Man', was released yesterday (8 Apr 2021).
It's a good blend of old and new, a contemporary sound with a retro feel,
which should appeal to a broad spectrum of listeners.
I've got a sneaky feeling that artists may well be taking notice of the
success of Silk Sonic, so hopefully we'll get a move away from the same
old, same old, auto-tuned R&B to a new flava ... as music styles always
seem to change at the turn of the decade.
