Over the last few months we have been drip-fed three singles by Raheem DeVaughn & Apollo Brown from their forthcoming album "Lovesick" which is released today.

I wasn't keen on "Zaddy" but "When A Man" and particularly "I Still Love You" were good sides. Picking through the remainder of the album, the choice cuts are "Everything Baby" which is the latest single (released today), "Broken Pieces", "Rick James", "On Top" and "If I Made Love To You".

The latest installment from the forthcoming album 'Lovesick' was drip fed yesterday (18 May 2021), being the third single so far to be released from the album due 4 Jun 2021.

I think this is the best of the three so far so, no doubt, given the success of the other two, this should do very well.

Raheem DeVaughn & Apollo Brown [2021] - When A Man [Mello Music Group]

Raheem DeVaughan is a busy boy! Having just released a new, 70s retro, video for a track from his last album released Nov 2020 ('Marvin Used To Say'), and riding high on UK Soul chart with his collaboration with Reel People on 'Deja Vu', he is now working on a new album with Apollo Brown, 'Lovesick', due for release 4 Jun 2021. As a teaser, a single from it, 'When A Man', was released yesterday (8 Apr 2021).

It's a good blend of old and new, a contemporary sound with a retro feel, which should appeal to a broad spectrum of listeners.

I've got a sneaky feeling that artists may well be taking notice of the success of Silk Sonic, so hopefully we'll get a move away from the same old, same old, auto-tuned R&B to a new flava ... as music styles always seem to change at the turn of the decade.
