Hasan Johnson, Bedstuy Gab & Markee McFly [2022] - Best of Luck [L.C Experience]

"Best Of Luck" was another released on Valentine's Day by  Hasan Johnson, Bedstuy Gab & Markee McFly.

The writing credits are Damon Hasan Johnson, Raschid Stuart and Mark Morales so i would guess they are also the artists?

This tune has been posted mainly as I am intrigued as to what the sample being used is. So I Shazamed it and it threw up Casey Nolan "No Hard Feelings" (2019) which doesn't really help as it's another rap tune using the same sample! If anyone knows the sample being used please leave a comment.

To add even more intrigue a video of Casey Nolan's version is posted on YouTube with a different title i.e. "Good Luck Forgetting Me (Wait For It)". 

In the comments it states the following :

"All background music was used from artist audio library and is licensed and royalty free".

The library being used is Epidemic Sound so that may explain why so many songs use the same samples i.e. The Ambassadors song, Supreme Jubilees and 'that' other sample that keeps coming up frequently!

Maria Sanchez Feat. Soul Tune Allstars [2022] - Give Me Your Lovin' [Soul Tune]

On 4 Feb 2022 Soul tune released "Hey Love" by Maria Sanchez which at the time I thought a bit odd as they usually release two sides as they are then available on vinyl. Well I'm not disappointed as it would appear that the other side "Give Me Your Lovin'" was released today (18 Feb 2022). 

Again it is another retro sounding tune but with a contemporary feel.

Natalie Imani [2022] - Sweet Dreams [Self Released]

You may not know the name Natalie Imani but have perhaps heard her voice as she has supported artists such as John Legend (on his Grammy winning album "Bigger Love" in 2020), Lauryn Hill, Jazmine Sullivan, The Roots and Nicki Minaj amongst others. 

Her debut EP "Hide Your Heart" in 2019 was written by Pink Sweat$ (aka David Bowden). To date she's released seven singles and two EPs since 2018.

Her latest single is yet another Valentine's Day release "Sweet Dreams" which uses Aretha's "Daydreaming" towards the end starting around 2:20.

Her back catalogue is a bit of a mixed bag but "Butterflies" (14 Feb 2020) is worth checking out.
