No new material from Kenny Thomas for ten years and now
this single will be the third posted within about six weeks. One being an
Opolopo remix of "Crazy World" which probably doesn't count as new material and the other "Contagious" released on 22 Sep.
Both the new single "Got It On Time" (out on 17 Nov) and "Contagious" will feature on his new album due in Spring 2023. We are also told that
there will be an Opolopo remix of "Got It On Time" in early December
supported by Lukas Setto.
Kenny has been on the road in 2022, appearing at some of the gigs with
Acantha Lang in support in the summer, and he headlines at the O2
Shepherds Bush Empire, London, on 10 Dec.
His career now spans almost 35 years, releasing his debut, multi-platinum
album "Voices" in 1991 after releasing several singles since 1988. He has achieved
eight UK Top 40, two Top 10 singles and two BRIT Award nominations.
In addition Kenny wrote his autobiography "Baring My Soul" in Dec of 2021. The leader for it reads:
"Kenny Thomas shot to fame in 1991 with the multi-platinum-selling
album Voices, storming the music charts and the UK soul scene in the
process. But what happened next? Read how he went on to do a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Oriental Medicine whilst some in the music industry
