Juanita Wynn [2022] - Make It Right [Vulnerable Records]

Juanita Wynn is a Grammy award winning song writer who began writing for Quincy Jones Music Publishing. She went on to sign for Sony ATV writing for Diana Ross, Angie Stone. Shirley Murdock, Norman Brown, Destiny's Child and more recently Lalah Hathaway amongst many others. She received her Grammy for Lalah's "Lahah Live!" in 2015.

Today she has released her first new single "Make It Right" since 2020 which is currently only available via Bandcamp. A short promo video was posted on her YouTube channel on 29 Apr.

It is the first single from a four single release trilogy titled "Blood, Sweat and Tears" which will only be available via Bandcamp.

As far as I can ascertain she's only released two singles in 2019 and 2020, an EP in 2011 and an album in 2002.

Theo Croker Feat. Ego Ella May [2022] - SOMETHIN' [Masterworks]

Today (20 May 2022) a the third track "SOMETHIN'" has been pre-released from a forthcoming album by Theo Croker "LOVE "QUANTUM"  due on 24 Jun 2022.

This track features the UK's Ego Ella May sounding very like Billie Holiday so to my ears this is pure jazz. His facebook states that there are new visuals dropping today and I've been holding off posting as waiting for them to be available but nothing as yet.

Other tracks already available include "To Be We" featuring Jill Scott and "Jazz Is Dead" featuring Gary Bartz & Kassa Overall, both released 29 Apr.

Theo Croker is a jazz trumpeter from Florida who was mentored by none other than Donald Byrd and is the grandson of jazz trumpeter Doc Cheatham. This will be his sixth album since his first in 2006.

The Shapeshifters Feat. Adi Oasis [2022] - Tell Me It's Not Over [Glitterbox Recordings]

Well what can I say ... The Shapeshifters have only gone and done it again! There's Nu Disco and then there's this! Simon Martin has an uncanny knack of getting it just right and "Tell Me It's Not Over" could easily be mistaken as a 70s Philly era recording as it has all the right ingredients. I love it and this 'should' be a monster! Adi Oasis you will know as Adeline as it's the new name she is now going by.

There's a 3:15 "7" version", which ends all too soon, and a full 7:41 Extended Mix".

Released today is "Falling 4U" by Jem featuring rap from Tomi Balogh. With a name like Jem I'm not able to find anything about her, so no links. Weirdly there is a track on Spotify by Jem with a title "Falling For You" which is a completely different song and artist!

Aliana Joy [2022] - WIFEY [theirieplace]

Aliana Joy (Beatty) is from Dallas, TX, released her tenth single today, a self-written song called "WIFEY". In addition she released a six track EP "Hard2Reach" last October. 

It's marked as explicit but apart from the 'N' word at 1:16 and an 'F' bomb being dropped at 1:41, I couldn't detect anything else.
