Binky Womack [2022] - Womagical [Bindelari Music] (Full Album)

Most will already know, or guess, but for those who don't Binky Womack is the son of Cecil and Linda Womack and Cecil in turn is the brother of the late great Bobby Womack making Binky his nephew.

He released his fifth album "Womagical" yesterday (23 May 2022). It's a Southern Soul affair and includes his last two singles "Magic Woman" (Jan 2022)  and "A Love Of Your Own" (Feb 2022).

Thuy [2022] - I Hope U See This (Deluxe) [Self Released] (Full Album)

Thuy (pronounced twee) is of Vietnamese heritage from the San Francisco Bay Area (now based in L.A.) and debuted in Oct. 2015 with a single "Ain't No Me".

Her debut album "I Hope U See This" was released last Oct. 2021. Today (24 May 2022) she has released a Deluxe edition which adds five more tracks to the initial album.

One of the new tracks is a remix of one of the best tracks "Universe" (featured in The Dirty Dozen in Nov 2021 (week 46)) which now features Christina Kuria. The other standout track is "Trippin'" but there are several tracks for those who appreciate the more R&B side of things.

Rockwell Hallman [2022] - Rockwell [Rayday Publishing] (Full Album)

Regular visitors may recall a Bandcamp only EP posted in January by Tim Jonz In Da Buildin "The Year of TJIB". One of the tracks on Rockwell Hallman's new album "Rockwell" (released today (24 May 2022)) (i.e. "Smoove") was included on it which samples Bobby Womack's "Woman's Gotta Have It' but not noticeable until right at the end of the track.

The opening track "Give You Love" is yet another that uses 'THAT' recurring sample (I wish I knew what it was called or where it was originally from as it is prevalent). 

A couple of tracks have previously been released as singles "Promise" (Jul 2020) and "Please Don't Go" (May 2020) and another "Never Thought I'd Find Love" as Rocwell Hallman (2019) which isn't listed with the other two (all posted with Tim Jonz In Da Buildin EP).

The standout tracks are "Smoove", "Do You Love Me" and "Never Thought I'd Find Love".

Amie Blu [2022] - 5 for U [Ciao For Now] (Full EP)

Amie Blu (Amber Grandidier-Nkanang) is a new 19 year old artist from South London of French heritage. She debuted last year with as single "All For You" and has released two further singles this year ("Another Lifetime" and "Are We Alright?") all of which feature on her debut EP "5 for U" released on 29 Apr 2022.

I believe that this EP was tipped to Franklin Sinclair by BBC Radio 1's Victoria Jane and he's played a couple of the previously unreleased tracks from it recently on his New Music Hour ("This Time") and "Like That" as  breaker in last week's Global Soul Chart show.

Teri Tobin [2022] - The One [Sol 2 Kep Entertainment]

Teri Tobin's last release was a song "Thank You Enough" released specifically for Mother's Day last year (6 May). Her first single since then, "The One", came out on 22 May 2022.

It doesn't appear to be available on Amazon as yet but it is available from Bandcamp.

Teri is from Arizona and released her debut album 'Love Infinity' in 2011 and followed it up in 2014 with 'Truth Is' on her Sōl 2 Kēp label ('soul to keep').
