Winston Surfshirt is a six piece Sydney collective
established in 2016 by Winston Surfshirt (aka Brett Ramson) who started out
as a solo act and gradually introduced new musicians to the
band.
They have released their third album "Panna Cotta" today (11 Nov '22) which follows "Sponge Cake" (2017) and "Apple Crumble" (2019) .. they like their deserts ... "Spotted Dick" next perhaps?
The latest album contains their last five singles, "Of Another Kind" (feat. Milan Ring & Jerome Farah) (Aug '22), "Maybe I'm In Love With You" (feat. Talib Kweli) (Jun '22) , "There's Only One" (feat. Genesis
Owusu) (Feb '22), "Complicated" (feat. Young Franco) (Oct '21), "All Of The Little Things" (feat. Ramirez) (Jul '21).
One of the highlights, excluding tracks already released as singles, is "All I'm Saying" which features two-time Grammy Award winning Kimbra.
A nice fun album, possibly not for the soul purists, but has some good
grooves.
