Yazmin Lacey (Yazmin Lacey-Phillips) is originally from east London but moved to
Nottingham. After having a few drinks on a night out she was persuaded to
sing and from that was offered a gig at an acoustic night.
She later performed at a night organised by Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood
Recordings which earned her a year's-development programme by the label’s talent discovery scheme. Not long afterwards her debut EP,
"BlackMoon", was released in 2017.
After a further ten singles she released "Pieces" in Sep which is bundled with her new single "Bad Company" today.
