Dublin's Melina Malone has featured here only once
before, with her single
"Lovers Sunday" in May. It was her sixth single since 2019 and we said at the time
that it was from a forthcoming debut album, "Aphrodite" , which has now landed.
The album contains all three singles she's released this year "Naïve" (15 Sep), "Tru Luv" (14 Jul) and "Lovers Sunday" (26 May) along with three interludes, so that leaves six new songs. Our
pick of the new songs are "Honey Lemon Ice Tea" and "Take U There". The final track "Anywhere" (a sweet semi-acoustic ballad) is also growing on us which highlights her
pure vocal ability.
