At the back end of 2021 (3 Dec) a debut single "Whisper" from Cale Austin was posted. Although I felt it was perhaps
a bit poppy I loved the vocals and notified the leading UK promoter of it
who later had it remastered and reissued.
It has now received a Paul Phillips Soulful Riddim Remix which gives it more of a reggae/lovers rock vibe, and is available
from 12 Aug 2022.
Some may know the name Paul Phillips who was a member of UK 70s Brit-Funk pioneers Hi-Tension and the
connection is that Cale Austin is the nephew of Jeff Guishard
percussionist/vocalist with the band, who co-wrote the song, and also of
Jungle rapper/MC, Stevie Hyper D.
