Currently riding high on top of the Global Soul chart with "All My Love", his
collaboration with Kadeem Tyrell released 18 Jun, Omar features on another alliance, this time with Joe Pisto on a single, "I Can Try", released on 2 Jul 2021.
This is probably one of the best new tunes I've heard so far this
week.
Joe (Giuseppe) Pisto is an Italian singer, composer, guitarist from
Bologna.
Omar (Omar Christopher Lye Fook) is considered the father of British nu-soul. He broke through in 1991 when his fifth single, "There's Nothing
Like This", reached #14 on the UK pop chart. I've included the original video for
it below .. why not? .. as it still sounds great to this day 30 years
later!
