I posted a double-sided release by Jacob G. in
April which were both covers of lowrider classics. His latest
single 'Never Late' was released 10 May 2021 and played as one of the Global
Soul Essential 5 last night in the chart show. It is a departure from
the sweet soul classics he put out last time and is a contemporary tune, but
with a bit of old school.
Jacob G. is the son of Little Willie G. (Garcia) who is a well known figure
on the lowrider scene as he was a member of legendary East L.A. group
Thee Midniters.
