Washington D.C. born Makeda (Ma'keda Habtemariam) is an
Ethiopian American singer now located in L.A. She released her first
single "CONFUSION" in Sep '22 and follows it up "Come Over" both on Samuel "SamTrax" Aristil's forever97 label.
Not surprisingly, from the sound of her latest single, she lists Sade
as one of her inspirations, along with Erykah Badu, Tracy Chapman,
Prince, and D’Angelo. Her debut single "CONFUSION" is also quite
Sade'ish (included below).
