An album we passed on when released a couple of weeks ago is "Yours, Saintly" from Saint Smith (Jared Abraham Shanklin) which we've now
revisited.
Having only skimmed it initially, it seemed to be predominantly R&B,
which it is, but there are a few more soulful tracks like "Round And Round", "Not Just Now And Then" (when you get past the long intro!), "Hold My Hand" and the title track "Yours, Saintly" which is our pick of the pack.
The Atlanta-based artist is from a religious background and blends
R&B and gospel songs which he wrote, arranged and recorded in his
home studio. The opening track "Take Care Of Me" and title track have already been released as singles.
The album is also available on CD via
Bandcamp.
