The Terri Green Project should need little introduction
as they have featured here many times but to recap they are Hamburg
based songwriting and producer duo Terri Bjerre (aka Terri Green) and Torsten Abrolat (aka Todd Reed) who have scored four US Indie Soul and UK
Soul chart #1 singles since 2019.
Joel Treece was born in Asheville, SC, but drew up in
Baltimore, MD. He is a former US soldier who was stationed in Germany and
made his way in the local music scene as a DJ and producer. Upon leaving
the Army he became a member of Mirror Mirror who released a single in the
early noughties.
He later moved into music production and formed his own company Treetop
Entertainment and released around nine singles and a solo album "With Love" in Sep 2019 and is working on the follow up.
Joel met Terri Green via a mutual friend and came up with the idea of
reinterpreting rather than covering Teddy P's classic Gamble & Huff
song "Close The Door". It will be available on digital platforms on Friday (9 Jun '23).
