More and more we are hearing an old school, sweet soul, vibe creeping into
contemporary neo soul, which is no bad thing in our book as it brings back
the soul which is sadly lacking in much of it.
The latest single, "Sometimes I Cry", from THE HONESTGUY is such an example. We had this lined
up to post last Friday but it slipped through the cracks and it's too good
to be left on the shelf.
THE HONESTGUY is Mubarak Adeyemi from Toronto who emerged in 2019 and we have followed since
his 2021 debut EP "Love Songs For No One".
