The new single from Lalah Hathaway, out today, is "The Energy" was co-written with and features L.A. based composer/producer Juan Ariza originally from from Bogata, Columbia, and KOLE (Nicole Cohen) who is a Grammy nominated songwriter also from L.A.
I say 'features' but it seems to be a trend to include writers and
producers names on the main credits whether or not they actually perform of
the recording.
Lalah last featured her with a birthday
profile
in Dec '22 (with a playlist of many of her best recordings) and before that
on a single "Coastin'" from Boney James' "Detour" album in Aug '22.
