The song was written by George Benson for Donny Hathaway in 1969 (which was Donny Hathaway 'written all over it'). Hathaway never recorded the song so Benson gifted it to Frank McComb. It's a perfect for for
Frank as we've always thought he was blend of Hathaway and Stevie
Wonder.
We wondered 'why now?", but of course it is Mother's Day in the U.S. this Sunday.
