A debut album from Onyx, an artist who only released a debut single "Silhouette" on 2 Jul 2022. Since then she's released two further singles "Mistreated" and "Never Love Again" both on 3 Jul. The first two singles feature on her debut album "Roll Up" released 11 Aug 2022. The last single "Never Love Again" also features but has been re-titled to "Don't Wanna Fall In Love".
Given that all the album's tracks were written by Lailah Albert then
would have to assume that is her real name. With such a new artist
information is scant to non-existent but have discovered that she's from
Detroit.
Nearly all the tracks are explicit and the one that stood out for me is
"Don't Wanna Fall In Love". "Mistreated" has got a bit of a 90s style bounce about it. I think its' fair to say
that the best three tacks are those released as singles. I quite liked the
opening track which is what drew me into listening to the full album but
it goes astray after a minute with rap and expletives but should have
worked that out from the title "Ain't Shit Chronicles".
