Derek Damian is based in Dallas, TX, and is the son of Harry Elston
who was a lead singer and founding member of 60s/70s group The Friends Of
Distinction.
He released a six track EP titled "The Inception" in 2013. Izipho Soul released one side from that EP "Whatcha Wanna Do" along with a ballad "Never Felt So Good" in 2019 (ZP22) which has long been sold out, it sold out within 48 hours of release in
Jan 2019.
However, the latest Izipho Soul release on 30 Sep 2021 includes "Whatcha Wanna Do" along with a different flip "In My Life", both from "The Inception" EP.
"Whatcha Wanna Do" originally appeared on his debut solo album "Destined
For Greatness" in 2011. He followed it up in 2017 with "Baritone Love".
