One for you Philly hounds! A bunch of Philadelphia International
Records (PIR) classics remixed by NYC DJ/remixer Mike Maurro was released
yesterday (17 Sep 2021).
It's the second compilation of PIR remixes in only a matter of weeks as
"PIR The Remixes Volume 2" containing 22 remixes was released on 13 Aug, but on a quick glance
through the tracks, thankfully, there doesn't appear to be much
overlap. There are fourteen extended mixes equating to 2 hours and 31 minutes of music.
PIR are of course celebrating their 50th anniversary, not that we need an excuse to binge on their classic material which has influenced Disco and House for decades.
