Alex Isley [2021] - At Your Best (You Are Love) [Spotify Single]

On Wednesday (25 Aug 2021) Spotify released  "At Your Best (You Are Love)" by Alex Isley (the daughter of Ernie Isley). At present the song is only available to stream on Spotify (although I notice that 'someone' has already posted it on YouTube, so clearly bootlegged from Spotify!).

Most will know the song from Aaliyah as she had a #2 R&B hit with it in 1994, however, the song was written and recorded by The Isley Brothers in 1978 on their "Harvest For The World" album.

The song has been produced as a tribute to Aaliyah who was killed in a plane crash exactly twenty years ago on 25 Aug 2001.

Alex Isley's last single was a collaboration with current 'hot' artists Lucky Daye and Masego "Good And Plenty" released in March.

I've also included a Tiny Desk concert she did in May 2020 where she performs four songs: "About Him" (from "Dreams in Analog" 2013), "Into Orbit" (from Love / Art Memories" 2012) , "Rain Clouds" (unreleased), "Gone" (2020 single).
