Rory [2023] - I Thought It’d Be Different [Avant Garden] (Full Album)

Rory Farrell is a former Sony music exec and popular podcaster (on The Joe Budden Podcast) who has turned producer for a debut project "I Thought It’d Be Different". He recruits the services of well know artists who we have featured in recent times such as Ari Lennox, Alex Isley, Kirby, They, DRAM, Emotional Oranges, BeMyFiasco, Sinead Hartnett, Pink Sweat$, dvsn, Phonte and many others, we counted 23 different guest artists are featured.

Five of the tracks have been previously released as singles since Jul '22 with the latest "My Phone Can Die" feat Ari Lennox and James Fauntleroy being released a week before the album.

The album is hard to categorise but we would say that it's mainly R&B/hip-hop oriented with a few neo soul tunes. with "Refill" (feat. Aáyanna and Chiiild) and "My Phone Can Die" being our picks from it.

Rory & Shelley FKA DRAM & Alex Isley [2022] - I WANT YOU BUT YOU'LL NEVER KNOW... [Avant Garden]

Alex Isley seems be be highly in demand featuring on several artists recordings of late, Butcher Brown, Tank & The Bangas, Moonchild and Spotify exclusives just to name a few.

She crops up again on this new single "I WANT YOU BUT YOU'LL NEVER KNOW... " by Rory (Farrell) along with FKA DRAM (now known as Shelley (Marshaun) released yesterday (12 Jul 2022). 

Rory is from New York and is formerly of the Joe Budden Podcast and now the co-host of one of the most popular podcasts in the world, New Rory & MAL, with millions of listeners per month. This is his debut release which he has been curating for the last three years.

P.S. I don't know the relevance of the capitalisation of the title? I do wish artists would refrain from this as we never know whether it is intentional or not as sometimes it's that way on the cover but not on the listing and vice versa and it is as confusing as hell! Grammatical conventions are in place for a reason, it's not big and it's not clever 😏 it's just confusing!
