Ivy Lo [2023] - Keep It Off My Mind [Lo Lyrical Publishing] (Full EP)

You may recall the name Ivy Lo who released a debut EP "A Love Ride" in Jan '22 which was doing rather well and then withdrawn. It would appear that she was signed to a label who decided to withdraw the EP and later re-release it under their umbrella. 

The label drip fed a couple of singles from it before reissuing the EP in full on 1 Apr. The sad thing is that the EP was collecting momentum when it was withdrawn and was then largely ignored when it was re-issued. 

Ivy Lo is 20 year old Skylar Corrin Parhms from Monroe, LA, who began her singing career in 2020 with Southern University A&M College, Baton Rouge, jazz band.

She is back today with her second EP "Keep It Off My Mind" which contains one of her two singles since her last EP ("Call You" (24 Mar) and "No Saint" (Oct '22)). Our choice/recommended cut is "Run Away".

Ivy Lo [2022] - A Love Ride [Estabrookroad] (Full EP)

The debut Ivy Lo EP "A Love Ride" that was released and then withdrawn on 29 Jan has been reissued today.

Two singles from it have been pre-released since the withdrawal of the EP i.e. "Soul Tied" (14 Feb) and "Sip N' Vibe" (4 Mar).

These singles haven't done anything on the UK soul charts and I think they may have missed the boat as when the EP was originally released it was generating quite a bit of interest. It remains to be seen whether that interest can be re-galvanised.

The Ivy Lo saga continues. After releasing a five track EP "A Love Ride" on 29 Jan, which created a bit of a buzz, it was very quickly withdrawn when a record company saw her potential and subsequently "Soul Tied" was released as a single last month (14 Feb) and now "Sip N' Vibe" today (4 Mar 2022).

I think they may have lost momentum in the UK as there were many 'all over' the EP when it was released and it would have done well then.

Ivy Lo is Skylar Corrin Parhms from Monroe, LA, who is just 19.

Ivy Lo [2022] - Soul Tied [Estabrookroad]

A couple of weeks ago on 29 Jan a five track debut EP "A Love Ride" was self-released by Ivy Lo which caused quite a stir as it was excellent. Within about a week it was withdrawn. Apparently she signed to a record label (Estabrookroad) who withdrew it and are now re-promoting it. I thought, incorrectly as it turns out, that the full EP would be reissued today, but it seems that only one of the tracks "Soul Tied" has been released as a single and "Sip N' Dip" is scheduled for 4 Mar.

Ivy Lo [2022] - A Love Ride [Self Released] (Full EP)

Ivy Lo is the stage name of 19 year old Skylar Corrin Parhms from Monroe, LA, who began her singing career in 2020 with Southern University A&M College, Baton Rouge, jazz band.

Her first single was "Outta Town" which is the opening track of her debut EP "A Love Ride" released on Sat. 29 Jan 2022, on which she wrote all the songs.

The EP has been floating around on promo for several weeks as it featured in Starpoint Radio's Breakers Chart on 10 Jan 2022.

"Slip N' Vibe" from it was played on Global Soul's New Music Hour on Saturday evening but to be honest any of the five tracks could have been chosen as they are all very good. A excellent debut!

UPDATE: This EP has been withdrawn as she signed with a new label who wish to re-promote it and will be released 14 Feb 2022 with Sip N' Dip being released as a single on 1 Apr. Pre-order HERE.
