Everything we've heard recently featuring
Free Nationals has been pretty good. They are Anderson
.Paak's live band. On this outing they are supporting
Durand Bernarr with a single called "Fist Bump".
Durand Bernarr (Bernarr Durand Ferebee Jr) is a singer/songwriter born in
Cleveland, OH, to a music teacher and vocal coach mother and sound
production father. He is now based in L.A. and has performed with
Erykah Badu and collaborated with the likes of the Internet, Anderson.
Paak, Ari Lennox and Teedra Moses.
His first EP, "Sound Check", was released in 2016 followed by "Dur&" in 2019 featuring collaborations with the likes of Ari Lennox,
KAYTRANADA, Anna Wise, & bassist, “Buddah” Foster Jr. His third
album "Wanderlust" was released in Sep 2022.
He released a single "Unknown" only three weeks ago (music video below) and has also collaborated
with Adi Oasis on a new version of "Le Départ" on her "Lotus Glow (Deluxe)" album last week which was also released as a single. So that's
three singles in the last three weeks.
