Patrick Biggerstaff's Izipho Soul celebrates its 100th single release on 8
Mar 2024 with the release of Lawrence Beamen's modern soul favourite "Thinkin' Of You" from his 2013 "Natural Love" album along with a previously unreleased song, "Been A Long Time".
Both released on vinyl for the first time but with a twist as "Thinkin' Of
You" has been remixed by Don Turney at DKS Productions.
Singer, songwriter, composer, producer, actor and master in Psychology
Lawrence Beamen, like so many soul singers, began singing, and honed his
baritone voice, in church in his native Vicksburg, MS, from the age of 6.
He relocated to California when 13 and at 16 he was invited to sing for
Rosa Parks.
He reached the finals (Top 10) of Season 4 of America's Got Talent in
2009 where he sang Barry White's 1974 hit "You're The First, The Last,
My Everything".
The 7" vinyl is available to pre-order now from

His 2013 album “Natural Love” escaped my notice at the time and is worth a listen. Excellent voice in the style of Barry White with a cover of "Just the Way You Are".
