The latest track from the forthcoming "the early tapes" album by Zonke & YORK is a more jazzy
and mellow number titled "Take Me There" released today.
The album is due in a couple of weeks on 27 Oct and so far that's five
singles drip fed from it. As we stated previously, the album is
essentially a re-issue of Zonke's 2004 debut album, "Soulitary" which only had a limited release in Germany, Italy and
Japan.
The song starts off in a classical vein with violin before the soulful vocals of Zonke and YORK's saxophone take it into soulful jazz territory. We weren't too sure about it at first but it's a real grower.
