A new name on us is Patrice Royal (Patrice Shardee Williams) but the song
should be familiar as it's a pretty faithful cover of Jill Scott's "The Way" taken from her Y2K debut album "Who Is Jill Scott? - Words And Sounds
Vol. 1".
We can't find much about Ms Royal but going by her Soundcloud channel she
appears to be from Birmingham, AL, and has released five singles under this name since her
first in May '22, two have been as a featured artist.
She may have recorded material previously under the name Patrice Shardee and has material dating back several years on her Soundcloud channel.
