We first featured emerging artist Lizzie Berchie from Newham, London, with her single "I Hope" in Apr '23 and again with her jazz flavoured "Don't Get Ahead of Yourself" on 2 Aug.
In between, on 4 Jul, she released a, gospel/spiritual like, single
"Flaws & All" (which we included the music video for in her last post).
Lizzie is of Ghanaian heritage and gained an internship at
Parlophone where she currently works as audience &
engagement coordinator working with the labels artists such as
Rachel Chinouriri and Gabriels .
To date she's released six singles and a five track, EP "Under The Sun", was released in July '22 and was extended to a full album
with three additional tracks in Feb '23. Both include her first
two singles. i.e. "Nsala" and "Pass Time".
We were intending to post her last single "We Found Love" (6 Sep) but today she has released a six track EP "Am I An Adult Yet?" (a question that I guess that most of us ask ourselves?)
which contains her last four singles and two new songs which are
both rather good.
She is most definitely an emerging talent to watch.
