Whether or not this is the final cut of what we have been suspecting for
some time was an EP/album developing we can't be certain, but
Stefan Mahendra's latest single "Your Type" is bundled with his last four singles under the banner "Sentiments" today.
We've waxed lyrical over Stefan many times and he continues to deliver
quality time and again. Let's hope this isn't quite the final cut yet (as
five tracks is an odd number?) and there's more to come.
The 'EP' includes "Fire" with sepha (26 May), "Yesterday Was Heaven" (28 Apr), "Would You Be Mine" (17 Mar) and "Waste No Time" with Aligo Batali (2 Feb).
Our choice cut is "Would You Be Mine". We feel that, if independent artists could get past the 'gatekeepers' on national radio then, this could easily become a crossover hit. There is just so much 'untapped' talent but national radio prefers to promote established artists such as Kylie Minogue whose latest single is a pile of Padam Padam yet gets into the Top 10 because it's rammed down the masses throats! It's tragic!
