We were introduced to Cynthia Jones last year with her
single "Ain't No Half Steppin" which was an original song with a funky gospel/jazz vibe
not Heatwave's 1976 hit of the same name written by Rod
Temperton.
Cynthia Jones (aka Etheridge) is from Raleigh, SC and, if it's the same artist (it
certainly looks like her), has a single dated 1979 on
Discogs
and a few albums from the noughties and has more recently released a gospel
album "Journey Of Soul" in 2011. In 2018 she released her last single "God's Got Me" which is a pleasant soulful gospel ballad and prior to that in 2016 "Give It Up".
