It's all getting a little confusing, with
Natasha Watts album "Music Is My Life" still being available only direct from her website and with LRK records
releasing two tracks from it ("Brighter Days" / "I Do, I Did, I'm Done") on vinyl which sold out on pre-order (we posted a video for "I Do, I Did, I'm Done" only on Thursday). However, the 'official' lead single for the album
is "I Am Me" set for release next Friday (23 Jun '23).
To confuse things further a remix of "Brighter Days" by Ziggy Funk was released on
promo in early May and a remix of "I Am Me" by Atjazz will be out in
the coming weeks on Atjazz's own imprint. Are you keeping up? By the way you can receive free digital versions of both "Brighter Days" and it's Ziggy Funk remix by subscribing to Natasha's website.
"I Am Me" was captured in 2022 during album recording sessions with
Reel People's Mike Patto and Tony Econimedes, with Dave Doyle (who
Natasha co-wrote the song with) and Ziggy Funk.
Natasha says that "its a very personal song about growth, about
understanding, and about being able to look in the mirror and accept
yourself, warts and all, and to love just exactly who you see. To look
back at your journey, and to look forward to the future".
We are told that a limited edition vinyl pressing of "Music Is My
Life" will be arriving in late August with a full digital album
release due in the Autumn of 2023. The album is currently available from Natasha's website as a unique USB stick encased in a cassette tape housing.
