An artist we've been highlighting for a couple of years. whose music
has been ignored, in the main, by soul listeners, is
Izo Fitzroy. Thankfully that was rectified with her latest album "A Good Woman".
The second single pre-released in Jan '23 before the album
was "Give Me the High" which has been re-released with a Moods Remix.
The original had a retro 60s styling that we thought would appeal to
the rare/Northern Soul crowd. Izo co-wrote the song with Oscar de Jong
(who some may know from Dutch trio Kraak & Smaak) so it may come as
no surprise that it's another Dutchman, Rotterdam based producer by Hans Lubbersen aka Moods, who has remixed it. You may recall that he recently also did a remix for
Reel People & Paula's "Vibe".
